We set up Screamers Disco and Karaoke over 8 years ago and have recently decided to change the name to SDK Entertainment.
You may be wondering why the name change but it was a natural evolution as the business can now offer much more than just disco and karaoke. However, we don't intend to forget our roots so anyone booking us can still be assured of the personal service we have always offered.
We originally started with just the karaoke as I became a karaoke addict but found it frustrating that the karaoke's I attended seemed to have the same songs every time and did not update. We thought we would try and start our own business and bought the equipment, got a couple of bookings and then realised it wasn't as easy as it looked!
A very steep learning curve and over eight years later the equipment has been upgraded providing a sound quality we are incredibly proud of, the karaoke song list is constantly growing, the disco list even more so and now PA hire, children's parties, Starcloth hire and Fun Casino Tables qualify the reason for the name change. SDK Entertainment is born.
I (Tess) still head up the DJ team and Nigel, my husband, is the technical guru who keeps the show on the road. We also have other DJ's, Karaoke hosts and children's party hosts who work for us but we are NOT an agency. All of them work directly for us with our equipment to ensure that what we discuss with you is what you get. They have been trained to the standard we expect and so can deliver a professional but friendly and fun experience every time.
Although we can cater for large corporate events we are also happy to provide the entertainment for house parties. The pubs and clubs in our area have also been very good to us as the business has grown and as with anyone who is interested in booking us they will always get our best service at all times.
